Howard is the owner of Choice Supports, established in June 2008. He has been supporting people with developmental disabilities since 1997, shortly after receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He is passionate about working with children and their families, as well as adults with many types of disabilities, including setting up supports and services for individuals with complex needs. Due to his administrative responsibilities, Howard chooses to keep his caseload low to ensure quality case management for his own clients, and allow him to be available to assist employees with their clients within the company.
In 2009, Howard was nominated as the first President of the Independent Support Coordinator Association (ISCA). Over his term, Howard helped create and build a vital network that continues to collaborate with many agencies to improve overall support service delivery to people with disabilities. Howard enjoys making a positive difference for his clients, their families, and those who provide direct supports.
In June 2015, Howard was nominated for and received the Sandra Ashbury Employment Opportunity Award from the Department of Human Services and the Division of Services for People with Disabilities for his efforts in helping clients maintain community-based employment.
Howard likes to spend time with his family, go fishing, hunting, explore nature, and watch sports.
